What is Soundclick ?

Please forgive my ignorance I am a complete newbie to forums like this.
I noticed that quite a few users here use Soundclick and wondered exactly what it was.
Does one have to own copywrite before posting songs that you have recorded of cover versions, I would like to post some of mine that I have done for my own amusement ? They are not very good but maybe someone could give me some advice if I was able to upload them.

It's a website made for musicians...the members can upload all their compositions there for other members to stream,download and rate etc.

I got the same impression. Most of my stuff are re-makes of 70's rock classics, which I obviouusly hold no copyrights to. Just done for fun as a hobby, but looks like I can't post anywhere without the music police locking me up!

We must have posted the same question, at the same time in different forums. I can see why they want to protect copyright and very much agree with the principle, however it gives people like you and I little or no chance of ever learning, or enjoying sharing the music we love so much.
I will never gain financially by doing this but I am sure there would be others who would exploit such a loophole. Looks like 'We will have to suffer for our Art' . I wish you well bro, if I hear of anywhere which is unlikely I will share with you.

I like it because they keep track of how many times your tracks have been played, chart postions, linking tools, it's free, etc.....this isn't a life or death decision....try it...if you don't like it, take your songs down and try another site.
