Sorry for these newbie questions :o I have no idea:
1. What is ReWire ?
2. What does it do ?
3. Can I use it along with Cakewalk Pro 9 ?
4. What is the advantage of using it with Cakewalk Pro 9 ?
Bear with me, please :) Thank you.

1. ReWire is a way of controlling one program from another.

2. The audio from the "slave" will be routed to the "master". Such as Sonar and Reason. Miditracks in Sonar will produce audio in Reason which will be routed back to Sonar.

3. No

4. None, as you can't use it... ;)

Thank you, moskus!
So I need SONAR to use it  (sure, like I want to use it  ). and if we need it to trigger Giga Studio directly within SONAR to have it playback MIDI can we use it to "bounce to track" ? or we must record to audio ?
thank you :)

you need reason, and you also need an audio program that supports rewire. i know sonar 2 and cubase do, and theres probalby some other too.

No rewire in Giga!

Gigastudio doesn't support rewire (not yet but who knows if in version 3.0?)
In Sonar you can use Nemesys Midi drivers. If you want record Gigastudio
midi tracks to audio; you use capture to wav in Giga or digitally transfer
inside your PC( some souncards supports this; Egosys Directwire and
MAudio delta/audiophile mon.mixer driver).
