I have an Epiphone basher JB, and a Bass Head/ B100 YAMAHA, & a YAMAHA FG512 12 string acoustic guitar and I need to sell them but have no idea what they are worth?
Can anybody help me???
My fiance left them to me when he tragically died 3 yrs ago & now I need the money.

There are a few people here from Oz who can help you more than I. I'll let them know and hopefully they'll get back to you.

Hi...

Here's an eBay link for the Yamaha - you'll have to judge whether yours is in better or worse condition, older / newer - it's a dealer ad so perhaps if you contact them they'll give you a clue.

The Epi basher - not familiar with it, but I suspect not much.

Here's a link to bass head plus cabinet - not sure if yours has a cab - I'm assuming just the head.

I'm no expert in any of this gear and you have no photos / ages / conditions - I don't want to depress you, but I'd suspect, that unless I'm misreading it, if you got $750 for the lot you'd be doing really well... and that it will take you a lot of work. It seems to be all fairly low-end gear, alas.. and there's rarely much of a market for it, especially at this time of year when retailers are offering bright shiny new discounted newbie gear, and even more so from Perth where the market has to be somewhat limited.

Good luck...

Fixing the value of gear via the internet is so difficult to do that often when noobs ask that question, they get flamed. I am glad the folks here have not done that to you, and proud of them. That said, the estimates here will be wildly different, and so at least some of them wild inaccurate.

Two ways you can proceed:

1. Get an eBay account, and search for the items under "completed auctions." Be as specific as you can- An average of the ones you see will be fairly close- but could be inaccurate if there are only a few matching items. As suggested, you might want to limit your search to "down under," if that's where you are.

2. Bring it to a music store, ask how much they will pay you for it. that will be wholesale, so if you sell it on your own, double their quote. If you go to a pawn shop... well, forget about that. At least here in the USA, pawn brokers are crooks. They do stupid crap like "offering" about a tenth of what the gear is worth, then when you sell it, they put price tags on it at ABOVE retail/new prices.

First of all, don’t believe everything you read about equip.
A pawn shop is a good place to start; gives you the low end to consider from the beginning.
A straight line , shortest way to go or you end up spending more time then its all worth
