What is cubase

What exactly is cubebase. I would like a simple explaination and not something like it's a processor of gigathingy that make soud make 15 herts bla bla bla. Something like it's a mixing software. Thanks in advandce.
 
Thats about it ... it a multi-track mixing software.
It allows you to record multiple tracks (audio and\or MIDI) and mix them down to a single track.
It's a bit more detailed than that, but thats the gist of multi-track sequencing software.
Cubase SX

I wanted Cubase about as much as I wanted to get rid of some toejam. It took slightly less effort however to get Cubase...
