What is better for bell ping 24" or 22" ride.

I have heard that the 22" is.

The sound I am looking for for that special ride ping is represented perfectly on the Van Halen album F.U.C.K. The song is In-N-Out, also the BALANCE album, the song AMSTERDAM. Man I love that agressive bell action! It says volumes gotsta have good wrists though, I wonder what cymbal he used?

I own a 24" that I don't use much anymore. I now use a 20", but I've used various 22" rides.

I've had better bell response from 22" than 24". Naturally, it all depends on the cymbal, size of bell, etc - but 24" tend to be fairly heavy (thick) cymbals, which impacts the bell response.
