This is probably a very basic question...

What is the Aux 1 and Aux 2 that is shows in the console view of ProAudio 9? Also, what are busses? I keep seeing these terms and am not sure if it's the concept or the terminology that I'm not understanding. Probably both. Any info (in very basic terms) would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

A bus could be considered a path from one place to another...
Lets say you have 8 drum tracks, and want to run them all through the same reverb. You would set up a reverb in aux bus 1, and then route those 8 tracks through it. Instead of 8 reverbs, you have one, and the entire kit sounds consistent.
Make sense? :)

tubedube is right, of course...... 'aux' and 'bus' are terms we get from hardware mixers you find in most music stores.....if you want to really understand the concepts , go to a music store and have someone explain a 16 plus channel console to you..sales people love to explain things as long as you act like you're gonna buy it.
