Is there a difference between a dynamic effects processor and a regular effects processor? Thanks.

Well a dynamic processor is something like a compressor, gate, limiter, etc... Something that changes the dynamics.

without knowing which product you are talking about, it could be anything.

Dynamic processors work in the amplitude domain, effect processors work in the time domain...

Well not always... but I like the sound of it anyway... as a rule of thumb... ah, maybe not

'dynamics processng' always means compressing, expanding, gating, and limiting. fx that change the volume of samples.

When someone says 'effects' yb itself, I generaly think of delay, chorus, flange, eq, reverb, etc. fx that change the sound itself. When you buy a mixer with 'fx', it's almost always refering to these things exclusively.
