What inspires you to layout a cover?

What inspire you guys to get your idea's on how to come up with a design on your cover? Do you use landscape scenery or individual photos or set up props? Any ideas?

Well i dont do Rock, but my Album Cover With me N my Friend (WHom is my favorite rapper at the age of 15 WITH EXTREME TAlent) Goes with the name of the album, its Called "Color Blind" And hes Wearing all White and im wearing all black and the Room is all seperated with white and black... goes iwth the album cover.... I would say make it connect with your album name tahts waht makes people look at it.. that and that its unique.... i dont know about you... but when im bored and im just looking in a Record Store LIke Sam Goody... i look at the Cool/Unique Looking Album COvers and have actually bought some Cds for that reason... creativity is what im about and thats what makes me so different from other artst

Agreed....I personally like minimalist covers, nothing too busy, but having the cover art tie-in with the album name makes a lot of sense.
