Which inputs on your laptop do you connect the mixer into for multitrack recording or single track recording for the final mix?
I notice most laptops in stores only have mic and headphones jacks and a few also have line-in jacks.
I think you can connect the mixer through the mic jack, but is it also beneficial to have the line-in jack?
Also, to record more than one track at once, would I need to get a special soundcard with multiple inputs?
I'm looking to get a budget Acer Notebook for some home recording but don't know if it's good enough.
I'd appreciate any advice.
