what I have got so far

I'm putting together a little small setup, to record acoustic guitar, vocals, digital piano everynow and then, and maybe live drums with a minimal mic approach later on.

ordered so far.

thinking about getting this

some sort of preamp

will this get me started?
I'm assuming I would also need a mixer for recording live drums.. but for now I am just doing sequenced stuff. I'll be tracking one track at a time for now.

You won't need a mixer, just make sure you have enough preamps for 4 mics.

One DMP3 amd two VTB-1's, would give you four channels of pres.
