I'm not really considering buying one. I'm just curious since I saw Musicians friend was selling them for $99

Aesthetically, I find them more appealing than the RODE NT1.

you get for what you pay...

-Is it a "good" mic for rec vocals?
-Can it make the job better then other one in this price range?

I am very interested in this mic,
I can not afford a rode nt1 for $220 us.

what would you say? get it or better wait and save for another one? but if I wait, which one can I use right now?

(get it... mmm?)

Reminds me of ADK-51/Joe Meek JM47/MXL 2001/etc.

are this mics good ones? or not to good ones?

I think you can find the NT1 at some places for $189.00 US

yes, plus taxes and handling and chiping aaannnddd the %&$·""$·"$ taxes I have to pay in the boarder.

I am from Mexico.

I think I will HAVE to buy the Nady scm 900...

thanx Prism for the info.

Well

If you don't have a Shure SM57 yet, I say get that first. If you do have an SM57 already, I say don't for anything less than the $200US range.

I'd take one Rode NT-1 over having all three of JM47, MXL 2001, and Nady 900.

Simply IMHO.

Thanks for the opinion, RE..
I'll probably save my money and get (maybe) an NT1 or two, some SM57s, and maybe a couple AT3525a. The NT3 looks nice too, and inexpensive.

Isaiah

I think the NT3 is worth a listen... I have yet to hear it myself or really heard ANY semi-detailed reports from whos opinion I highly regard.
