What happened to guitar.com?

Anyone remember how guitar.com was along time ago before they said they were going to 'upgrade'?

It was a pretty crappy looking site with some bugs, but you could upload mp3s, talk on the forum, give/take guitar lessons, and whatnot. I liked it.

I don't see where you can do that now. It's all about "recommending gear and music to the community to make money". What the fuck???

The rype feature looks like it might be kinda cool, I don't know. But everything else sucks.

that's the first time i've ever visited the site. i see lesssons, a forum, and that rype thing. one good thing about this place is that it never changes!
