in contrast my vocals sound dry!

Im singing to tracks played "live" in the studio-replacing my guide vocal.
Im in the back of my basement in a kinda of blanketed ISO booth I made.

First off the mic tone is a bit honkey-boxy.
2ndly - its almost to hifi sounding [its a blues band].
Ive got great plugins [Waves etc]-however im wondering about
using two mics to create some phase or grab a few reflections.

my main voc. mic is a Rodes Classic2--i could also use C3000[used to be my main mic] -or SM57/58. into :ART DMPA pre-RNC comp.

Keep in mind im in the ISO cuz Im in a noisy household-so recording in the bathroom aint an option unfortunately.

For a low cut on the vocals, I'd try going as high as you can get away with. A lot of things I cut around 50hz, but you might want to try even as high as 100hz, 150hz, or even higher. The more low end you can get out of things that dont need it (everything but kick drum and bass usually) the better.

For blues type stuff it might sound just fine with even a relatively high high-pass frequency. stand rumble's probably around 50-100hz, but there could be other low end stuff that will muddy up the mix, and isn't necessary to the tone of the vocals.
