What file formats for different versions of Pro Tools?

So I am slowly reviving an old studio set up that was never used much. I have a digi 001 on a Mac G4 with Pro Tools LE 6.4. I want to get a portable digital recorder that will record at least 8 tracks simultaneously and that can have tracks exported into Pro Tools for editing. Now the caveat is that I will probably upgrade my digidesign interface and Pro Tools software in the not too distant future. So what file formats do I need to stay compatible with (if it is possible) so that it works now with Pro Tools LE 6.4 and then later with say Pro Tools 10 or 11?

You shouldn't need to do anything special.
Your digital recorder is going to be saving .wav files, I imagine. Wav is compatible with any DAW.
Protools has session backward compatibility so if you want to revisit old sessions in PT 10 or 11 you should be fine.
10 or 11 will automatically change the session type from ptf to ptx, which is the current standard.
