I have a stand alone cd burner and also a CDRW in my 'puter. After a mix down in CEP, what file format do I save the mixdown file as??? My stand alone player doesn't recognize wav files..if I record directly from my BR-532 to the stand alone burner, it saves it as a cda file and all is ok...I can't save the mixdown file in cool edit pro as a cda...Do I need a file conversion or is something in CEP that will save the file so when it's transferred to a CD, a regular CD player will read it????...tnx in advance

First, check the lower right corner of CEP and verify your stereo mixdown is in 44100Hz/16-Bit, and in Stereo. If it isn't, hit the "F11" key to bring up the file comverter and select it.

After the file is in 44100Hz/16-Bit resolution, do a File-Save (or SaveAs), and make sure to pick the Wave format for Windows PCM. I am going by memory on this, so bare with me and see if you can find the right one.

Once you have the files down, your CD burning software should recognize the WAV files when you tell you are creating a music CD/Project.

Good luck!

...OR syntrillium has released CD burning plugin for CEP. Check here.
It's free !!! I've downloaded, tested in my system couple times... works good.

It will add a new button in your CEP toolbar... Reallllly COOOOOLLL!!!

Hello and thanks for all the help...I can't get the Syntrillium CD burner to work and that's why I went to an outside program...The CD burn prgrm runs and goes thru the disk test routine and indicates it is burning the tracks, but when it's done, there is nothing on the disk???? None of my drives show anything at all...it's like it is still a new CD...but after I told the outside program that it was going to be a music cd, it worked just fine..tnx agn
