I suffer Narcoleptic Rage
...write a song about it! Sorry guys, just trying to get outta this rut and this event was inspiring...
All events portrayed in these lyrics are real, only the names have been changed to protect the innocent. (namely me!)
"Broken wing"
Verse:
She found a bird on her way to work
She held it gently because it looked hurt
A broken wing and a state of feathered disarray
She brought it right home in much the same way
She has cages to spare and regarding comfort
Im sure the poor thing couldn’t complain
Out there with the cats on that old country lane
Chorus:
She warned her kids to look but don’t play
But if that poor bird had known what lay ahead
It’d probably said “Fuck flying! I’m making a
Run for it instead!”
Verse:
She claimed it ate berries, you know
Vegetarian kind of stuff.
She mentioned pine cones and elderberry
And an assortment of nuts
And even a few bugs she thought she could catch
All things she had learned
Searching google on the internet
She just rolled her eyes and started to fret
When I suggested she might take it to the vet
<Repeat Chorus:>
Bridge:
Well its been 3 days and I really couldn’t say
Whether it was the worms she was feeding it
Or maybe the children at play.
But the girl watching her kids just called here to say
That sometime in the night her bird passed away
<Repeat Chorus:>
