What drum head is this?

It kjust looks like he has a black ring of plastic on top of a White coated head.

A lot of drummers make "Zer-O" rings themselves by cutting the ring out of a drumhead.

I agree, in the picture it looks like it was cut, because it doesnt look PERFECTLY round like an o-ring would. Its prolly just an ebony ambassador cut over a coated amb.
 
Looks like electrical tape on an ambassador. Some guys don't like O's for recording because they can rattle.
 
hey i just watched this today! He has some nice sounding drums. i use the aquarian o rings and are pretty damn good to tame my snare drum on my jazz kit.
 
I think it will take a bit more then just a new head and o-ring to get the sound he's getting out of that snare !!! :eek:
Like maybe a 10,000 watt PA , some great pre amp's , EQ and compression !!! ;)
