What does everyone think of THIS...?

I'm looking at buying one of these things.

I can get it for around $350. (let me know if any of you all know of a better price.)

Everything I've heard aboot this thing is good. For the money, it's a great pre/comp/gate.

I love the fact that it has presets because, quite frankly, I'm a retard when it comes to compression.


I'm not so much buying this for the pre as I am buying it for the comp... so if anyone has any real-world experience with this that they could share, then I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Well, I have one of these things which has the same preamp and the op compressor and I think its killer.

Very clear preamp, op compressor is great for fattening things up however I like the RNC a little better. I use both compressors on different stuff.

Forgot to add it sounds really good with a condensor (C1) and dynamic mic (SM57). The tube mic (NTK) requires a little work on the EQ side but works great.

I've heard it's eq is good. That's like the second time I've said this, isn't it Middle?
