SHHHHHH!

You know they're always listening, .........don't give em any ideas;)

Next thing you know they can put a harddrive in your head and an Athlon in your brain. Of course, you would need Windows XP so you dont have any crashes:D

Is Athlon MP better/worse than XP or T-birds?

I saw an 1.2 MP and a 1.2 T-bird for different prices.

Don't take my word for this, but a friend of mine who has a computer shop told me that MP was the next thing, and that if you wanted to go dual, MP is your processor.....

> You can do both of these rather efficiently on a Pentium 133 with a cable modem.

Just because a cable modem will run on a P-90 doesn't mean that it will run well on that system.

Hate to rain on your parade- but I thought the same thing up until I hooked up the same cable modem that was connected to my PII-450 for years to the new system, a PIV-2.0 with 8x the memory and 10x the HD space. Not only was convenience improved but straight up- the increase in throughput both up & down (mostly down as these Adelphia thievers cap the up stream) was definitely noticeable.

I had the same cable modem hooked up to my P-90 and it was still very "surfable": definitely better than 56K but there was an additional real improvement that occurred with the latest upgrade.

Of course you'll also have to separate the SW variables as the three systems used Win95/Win98SE/Win XP home respectively.

Your comment remains quite valid if you are talking about a 56K modem in each of the above systems.

I actually used a P-133 at work for about a year. The only way that system looked good was in comparison to my 486-DX33 running Win 3.1.... :)
