This is a tribute to Black Sabbath. I wrote the words and music, and enjoy the song.

My wife says the spoken part is too long (so long I won't write it all here), so I have to come up with a third verse. Here is the first two verses and the chorus:

Once upon a time there was a band...
loud and proud and always out of hand.
They came from Birmingham, and conquered all the land and every soul.

Tony, was wailin' on guitar.
Ozzy, was singin' near the bar.
Geezer played the bass,
and Ward, he set the pace of rock and roll

(Chorus) These are the gooooooods, of heavy metal (metal, metal, metal...)
Repeat.

Black Sabbath, the gods of rock and roll.
They set the stage and rocked at every show.
Then others came along, and played a mighty song of heavy metal (metal, metal, metal, metal).

Iron Maiden, Megadeth and Judas Priest.
Legends from the west and from the east.
Metallica, Dio, Motorhead and more, all legends each.

(Chorus).

That's all I have. I need a third verse. Any suggestions?

Don't take it the wrong way. I wouldn't make a third verse.
I'd prob try to forget about the first two vereses as well.

That sounds like some dumb shit MANOWAR would sing.

That's a great video! That's exactly what I'm talking about. This isn't serious. It's fun and silly.

Heavy Metal, like the 80s, is dead, but sometimes looking at dead things is fun.

Heavy metal is dead???!!!! Believe it or not, that new Manowar album went gold in less than a week. (in Germany)

Heavy Metal will never die!

i take back the text that was here...

what does it take to delete a dead thread? or do you save everything, forever? are you guys planning on stealing and releasing this dudes weak song?

Nothing gets deleted around here. If you don't post in a thread, it will fall into obscurity...until someone shows up 3 years later and adds to it. Then it goes back up to the top of the pile.

I vote this "Necro-post of the Week".

Winner!

Awsome, do i get rep points for that?

i'll try not to do it again, unless its a worthy thread, of course.

"Sabator' <band name> or something similar, did a couple songs like this maybe dude has something to do with it?!?! could be money in stealing this, eh?

Peace

Dude will never know, since he has been banned. This was also 3 years ago, he may have moved on...

There is money in anything, the trick is finding the audience.

In my mind there is no light
All is black and full of smite
Take my prose as foolish blabbith
Hail the gods of rock Black Sabbath

"Foolish blabbith" !!
And you say your lyrics don't mean shit !
You heavy wordsmith, you ! ;)

I did grin at that one.

Sabbath - whataya got? Stab its? Grab its?

Foolish blabbith seems so perfectly redundant and self congratulatory, kind of like the band itself.

I canned something along the lines of

In the hot and spooky desert
A pound of pride was poured and measured
I am god, I am, I thinks
Just like him there, the silent sphinx

After all, the sphinx is a rock god.
