Just recently moved from cubase to Pro Tools for workflow reasons. For those of you who are running 6, am I missing anything good?.

I have never had a workflow problem with Cubase so I updated to Cubase 6.
It runs w/o problems on my Windows XP SP3.
I like the new layout, the optimized comoing, group editing, HalionSonic SE instead of HalionOne.
I still miss an optimized window management.
You check it out as they have just published a trial version of Cubase 6. But you will need the Steinberg eLicenser.

Pretty solid I'd say.
Was running a cracked retail version of Cubase 5 until I saved up enough money to buy a legal copy. Luckily enough for me by the time I had the money C6 had come out
Just got it and have been running it for 5 hours straight. 1 BSOD but that was because I was doing something funky to my sound card and the drivers kaputted.
The program itself has crashed 3 or 4 times while continuing work on my C5 projects.
Haven't yet noticed a significant performance or stability boost over the cracked C5 I was running
The GUI by default is much dark and more "professional looking". I really like the GUI overhaul in general, lots of eye candies to behold.
Haven't had enough time or opportunity to get the VST amp rack up and running but there hasn't been anything strikingly new that has revolutionized my workflow. HalionSonic SE is a leap of awesomeness over HalionPoop.

Runs Great! The phase accurate multitrack editing is reason enough to get the new version. I've been very happy so far! I run it on XP SP3 with RME Fireface...

Lovin it. My new fave is you can highlight a section of automation with mouse and drag that section where wanted. Easy as pie.

Sounds like good stuff, I have used cubase since I started out in production, but recently moved on to Pro Tools mainly due to working with collaborators who use Pro Tools, and to be honest I havn't looked back. But, as much as I do like using Pro Tools, I am quite sick of reading all these error messages, having to re install my whole computer and having to follow an amazing list of specific guidelines in order just to run. I hate to admit it using a cracked version of C5, other than the odd crash, It has never failed. Cubase feels like a bettr writing tool for me, and while I've been having a few drinks I decided to go back and sort my cubase set up out for orchestral pieces, and I found that ~I could Load more Kontakt instruments faster, and with a less Cpu impact. Buying C6 to use even as a writing tool tomorrow seems very appealing.

Well, throw back that beer and buy Cubase man. You will learn that the real 'paid for' software is even easier to work with. I have known many who have used pirated software and they all have the stess that should be associated with using stolen tools. Buy the real deal and have tools you can take pride in. And they actually work!
