Frankly, I find my POD Pro a blessing when the asshole is setting the timing on his Harley with the Siamese cut-off pipes across the street. I've gotten excellent sound out of it Jacked into a power amp, and then into a Marshall Cab (if I really want punch), and for etherial clean, I take the line outs to a pair of reference monitors (or just one) and mic the monitors. If you like the sound of a Line6 amp with a Marshall cab, you're good to go.- Richie

P.S.- Happy to hear I'm not a "real" guitarist. Guess I'll sell my SG and the Taylor and become a producer- Thanks

i do understand the need for being able to record a balls out guitar or bass trak when theres neighboring noise, sleeping children in the house,mother-in-laws visiting etc etc...but everytime i've tried one of these things and the 'modeling' kind of stuff, theres something thats missing to my ear...and the decay is unnatural compared to an amp....it just aint natch'll i tells ya....pods should pack up and go back to their home planet....and as was mentioned, who wants a bunch of these odd-shaped alien artifacts lurkin around the studio proper?....sans-amp is a way different story.....yummy....even some of the pedal arrays, not modeling style ones, with the speaker emulation circuits...ya, you have to MAKE yer own sound......oh gosh, isnt that what i do anyway??!!!
