What do the engineers do to the backup vocals on a Alison Krauss CD?

Is it $10,000 chorus unit?

What song? All the stuff I hear is just a nice room, nice mic and a clean mix... But the songs I listened to only had 1 or 2 backup parts.

The newer stuff.... Like "Gravity".

There is a hint of something there but it is so transparent and awesome..

Maybe the background vocalists are such good singers they can double their parts really, really well...

Probably keeping out of the way of the superb musicians.

The BU vocals that are on this are just nice clean panned harmonies well mixed on a nice airy board. A dieing art, very little effects except a small amount of verb for flavor.
