Ok, let me 1st tell u what I have! I have the motif 6 keyboard, the Dr. Groove 202 and the SP 202, which I was going to replace with the Akai MPC 60II or 2000XL, the sm57 studio mic, a studio condenser mic, i will be getting another computer soon because mine keeps freezing, a Peavey M-4000 800 watt amp, a cd recorder on the computer and a stand alone cd recorder, i will have a VS 880 or 890 soon, 2 technique truntables with a mixer, Acid pro 3.0, acid express for the motif, plus vegas video and sound forge 4.5. My 1st question is of everything i listed that i have or that i'm about 2 get, what do i need and what don;t i need to record professionally? I have a group and I want to create a professionaly sounding cd to promote. If I have to send off for mastering, I will, but at least I want to get as much as i can in my own studio, like mix downs. I want a booth as well, but I will probably use a closet here. I need to know how to hook everything up, like what goes where? I also need to know exactly what I need to do complete, professional recording, from vocals to drum beats and keyboard. I do plan on using effects on the vocals with either a vocoder machine or the effects you can install in the motif. I also heard you can record professional vocals into the motif. So please help me because I may be about to get somethings I do not need. But I have about $700-$1000 to spend on getting more equipment! I'm new to recording professionally, so go easy on me! Sorry so much nfo!!1
