my background:
im using a HP PAVILLION DV6000 laptop which does have a usb 2.0 firewire port which is handy im thinking. at the moment im using the built in sound card which is totally awful, i have to have jacks hanging out three quarters of the way for the soundcard to accept that a signal is passing through(!!!!?) so you can imagine me trying to play my revalver demo through this.
im wanting to spend in the range of 100 pounds ($200) on a usb/firewire soundcard/interface that will work with extremely low latency (preferably none), wondering what you would reccomend, im also going to be running the guitar through an M-Audio Buddy Pre-amp. i want to get a really clear nice tone for the guitar like this guy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AzwnN2iPXtM as i also have the krk monitors and the same pre amp as him, all thats missing is the skill (!!!!) and the soundcard. he uses a EMU1212M but thats a PCI right, and an internal isnt an option for me!?
