Alright, my hard drive burnt out on my PC about 2 months ago. When I got a new hard drive, I decided to set the computer up to record my music on. Right now, I have a Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Z5 sound card and Steinberg Cubasis VST 4 Multitrack Recording software. The soundcard has one instrument input in it which isn't enough. I don't know whether i need to get a mixer or a direct in box or etc.?

Most of the time I'm dealing with recording two guitars, a bass, drums(a kick mic, two overheads, two tom mics, and a snare mic), and three vocal tracks.

I've recorded a little bit using the single input in the soundcard, but please tell me what i need to get next.

There are several comanies that make multiple input interfaces for PCs
http://www.m-audio.com/index.php check this out under products> prosumer and there you will find the interfaces...... You can run into a mixer but the problem after recording you are stuck with what you have so you will not be able to tweak levels on any one instrument... just as a whole. I have that same card but mine is platinum and I was also using the same program ... there are several inputs but you can only record one at a time. The other thing you may want to check into as well is upgrading your card ... that card is geared more toward gamers not for our application... try looking into something like this http://www.americanmusical.com/item--i-MII-AP2496.html entry level but geared for what you are doing...... look around that site they have card and interface packages.... or go the mixer route......... personally I am getting the 1010 M-Audio.... Good Luck
