and also can i convert the plug on it to an xlr? it currently has a smaller adapter with 5 pins on it.

probably not much.
The specs on that microphone probably arent that hot...it is from the late 60s ...early 70s..you could in theory take the propreitary connector off and put an XLR on..but it wouldnt be worth the effort, IMO.
It is better off as a conversation piece/vintage mic.
