Yo, thanks for all the great help guys! :)

So I have a YAMAHA AW16G 8-input ALL-IN-ONE recorder.

I want to add on like 12 inputs to this so I can record like 18-20 mics at one time.

How do I do this? I'm just guessing I need to get a mixer & then bus all the 12 mixer inputs into 2 of the Yamaha recorders paired tracks for a stereo mix of the 12-mixer inputs signals.

What are the nice equipment pieces I need to look for..

A Behringer MX3242FX will give you plenty of inputs, with the added bonus of "British" EQ

Hello! Thanks a lot for responding, I acctually made a "Whats the difference between the MX3242 & SL3242" thread, please advise on this subject.

That's the mixer I was looking to get, or the SL3242.

But, please explain the signal path/technique I would use if I was mixing-down/busing all the mixer tracks into my recorder.

I'm new at busing & havn't done it between 2 devices before.

I normally just use the 8 tracks on my YAMAHA AW & just keep them all separated for the drums the whole time, not bussing the 8 into a Stereo pair for extra tracks & space saving.
