Poll to follow...

I've only really played a lot on an ESP and a Fender Tele (the cheaper, Asian-made versions, both of them). My Affinity Telecaster fell to pieces, so I guess I'll have to go with ESP :D

I have a black EC-50. It's my baby :)

My #1 guitar is now a Ibanez SZ520 with a SD custom custom in the bridge
#2 is a Ibanez roadstar that I built from parts off ebay, its upgraded with a wizard neck and seymoure duncan hotrails

one day...yes one day I will own a Gibson LP,but till I got money to burn,I'll stick with Ibanez

Ibanez JEM
Ibanez RG's
Gibson LP
Epi LP
Fender American Tele
Ernie Ball MM/JPM
Peavey Wolfgang

Just to name a few...

I use an old Gretsch Chet Atkins Tennesean and an old Gibson ES335. On occation I use a 55-77LP for fusion and an old Ibinez Artist Archtop for backing up horn players and vocalists. The Ibinez sucks.

Bass: Spector NS2
Guitar: Custom one of a kind "RAD" Strat style W/ Dimebag Darrel Lawrence
Acoustic: Seagull S6 Cedar--Very early

Eric

Hmm I got the only vote for washburn.

I have so many guitars, most better then my N4, but when I just want to bang out some tunes for fun, I always pick that one up.

Gibson Les Paul Custom
Fender American Strat
Fender Mexican Tele
I love my Fenders, but I think my Les Paul is a better made guitar

even with money to burn i would stick with ibanez!!!

I had to vote for Ibanez, I have three of them, along with eight others presently. I think it's the feel of the Ibanez necks that appeal to me most, they seem to be the ones which take the least effort to play.

Ibanez for me, they are truly fantastic guitars - even at budget level.

Their Prestige serious is truly a beautiful instrument to play, and the necks are a joy.

my number 1 guitar = godin sdxt black pearl(best guitar ever)
my number 2 guitar = esp/ltd ec-50

My 1963 Hofner Bass for sure. The guitar is a hard one. They all have different sounds and purpose.
I love my 60's Strat, but my Casino and Gretsch get equal playing time.

Guitars currently playing...
Gibson ES-135 Classic
Gibson SG (modified w/ seymour duncans)
Fender Standard Strat (on the to-do list to reassemble...)
Spector active bass
Takamine EG561C Acoustic/Electric
Fender F-220SB Acoustic
1968 Epiphone FT45-N Cortez (when they were still made in the US)

Guitars I used to play...
Ibanez something or other... Didn't like the floyd rose, I'm more of a hardtail guy...
Schecter C1-Plus
Fender Lone Star strat that was the only thing stolen when my house got broken into 4 years ago, was my first guitar, perfect fit, perfect tone... :( I miss her so much...
Fender '50s strat stolen at a show
Fender standard strat stolen at a show

Anyone noticing the trend? Fenders are easy targets for thieves I guess... half of the ones I have laid my hands on were stolen... what the hell is wrong with this world?????

Yo Grey Angel! Interesting- The header says "What guitars do you use?", but the poll says "what guitars do you prefer"? Ha! I'm supposing you think they are the same... in my dreams. By and large, the guitars I use are fairly good copies of the guitars I prefer.

Prefer- 1950's Les Paul Custom w/ humbuckers
Use- Epiphone Les Paul Custom w/ Classic 57 humbuckers

Prefer- pre-CBS Fender Telecaster
Use- Fender Highway 1 Telecaster

Prefer- 1960's Epiphone Casino
Use- Epiphone Casino reissue

Prefer- 1930's mint condition Martin Dreadnought
Use- Taylor 710CE

Prefer- Handmade Spanish Flamenco
Use-Epiphone Selena Signature cutaway

Prefer- pre-CBS Fender precision bass
Use- Squier P-bass

Anyway, here they are-

people who steal instruments should be taken out and flogged, possibly with the instrument that they stole ... i'd like to bet most guitars and other instruments are worth more sentimentally than their actual value, and instruments that have been gigged a lot - i bet most of them aren't even worth stealing... its completely senseless.

all this ranting reminds of a quote from Jonny Greenwood from Radiohead, after some of their stuff was nicked - someone asked him what he thought of the thieves, and he said "i hope their next shit is a porcupine" ... something that should only be wished on instrument thieves  :p.

oh, and i'm playing an old beaten up Strat copy, by some unknown brand (i can't even remember what it says on it ) ... apart from the http://www.squierguitars.com/products/prod_images/guitars/0327502506_xl.jpg that i put the deposit down on today, and am picking up next friday :D i can't wait :p i also play a Really nice classical guitar, which i've never been sure of the model ... it was handed down the family to me from my brother, after he'd got a new instrument.
