what band was this?

This is just buggin' me. What was that band in the 90s that was grungy hard rock, but they played all acoustics? The fact that it was acoustic was part of their deal.

They had maybe one or two hits. And they sounded a lot like another band (or maybe the singer sounded a lot like another singer), but I can't remember who it was. Anyone remember?

No not at all.... I just remember it was really riff-based, grungy sounding stuff, but all played on acoustics.

I wanna say the lead singer sounded like Lane Staley .. maybe ... but it could have been someone else.

maybe it was Alice In Chains' unplugged album? there were a couple singers who sounded like Layne, i think Stone Temple Pilots had an acoustic album too.

Yeah, didn't the singer fire the band once they got big because he claimed he had all the talent? The next album bombed if I remember correctly~
