What are your thoughts?

Knock a bit of treble off that solo guitar. I know the sound you're going for and you are damn close. I would like to hear more bass. Not only bass guitar but bottom end in general. Also, I would recommend to the band that they add a little more backing vocals to the chorus. Perhaps some harmonizing on the "You know I wanna go home" part. Otherwise, well done.
 
I agree totally with the above. Additionally, I think some of those snare hits have a resonance around 300 HZ or so, some really pop out just above 1K. Can you even those out or maybe replace some of the weaker ones so the tone isn't changing so much from hit to hit?
 
Thanks for the advice guys. I am going to make these changes to the song as soon as I get a chance and I will repost it. The band has already paid me and recieved the final product but i like to keep working on songs and make it the best I can for my own portfolio. I was paid for 2hrs of mixing for this track, so there was only so much editing i could get done in that amount of time. Funny thing is the snare skin broke on the take after this one and we had to switch snares for the next song.
 
I like the song, pretty good band.
I thought the cymbals sounded a bit splashy, drums don't sound bad though. Just some minor tweaking and this is OK.
 
I think the cymbals are a little thin. Good song and band.
