What acoustic electric to buy?

I think you made a good decision. The S6 is a pretty sweet guitar.

After 3 straight hours of playing it, I know I did. Sorry to go on about it, but there's been YEARS of playing the guitar since I've had that "hell yeah" that remember from the early excitement. I'm late in the game on this and for those of you who've had "good"guitars for years, this is old stuff. But this has been my experience in the past: a) The guitar has a thick, solid sound but is hardly playable; or b) it's playable but sounds like a toy.
Pardon my enthusiasm over such a relatively cheap guitar, but... WOW!

I think the S6 is possibly the best low cost acoustic guitar made. I haven't played every low budget acoustic but I've played a bunch of them. Did you get the cedar or spruce top? Every one that I've picked up was setup pretty good too straight from the factory.
 
Excellent choice, you can't do any better at that price and you could spend alot more for less of a guitar with a "name"
