What about USB?

Does anyone have opinions/recommedations for using a USB based Audio Interface such as the M-Audio Duo or Quatro. I've been reading through the threads and don't see those names/devices mentioned too often as recommendations.

Is USB bad?

They seem to be pretty slick and relatively affordable (The Duo has pre-amps, Quattro does MIDI, etc)

USB is too slow to have more than about 4 simul. ins. Read lot's of posts by people having wierd popping/clicking noises. Never tried it myself as my puter don't have it.
