well been putting off buying a laptop for a while because it is so confusing
Have a desktop system that does all I need it to and more.
Have accepted a two year teaching assignment that will mean moving location every two or three months, so need a new laptop.
My grown kids want to buy me a laptop to stay in touch (skyping)
Got word they want to buy me this as a gift:

(they got lots of Walmart connections and discounts)
Could get next upgrade of i5 processor from 2.40 to 2.53 for a couple hundred more. Not sure it's worth it with what I want to do with it.
Just will be doing audio tracks. No midi or vsti's. Could go with one of the i7's in that price range but not sure they would really be any better than the i5. Use 32bit reaper.
What do you think??
