I live a couple blocks away from another neighborhood who changed an elementary school into a Local broadcast station for the public schools and I talk to the "head hancho" about some of the stuff lying in the hallways (mic stands, TONS AND TONS of cables, dual cassette bays, etc.) and he said normally computers and VCR's go to the schools when they dont use them but the cables and everything else just sit there or get thrown out!!!!! So I said I'll take them! and he said he'll get back to me and he took down my phone number... I didn't think he'd actually get back to me or I'd only get a couple cables but he calls me 30 mins later and says he's got FOUR BOXES OF STUFF I CAN HAVE!!!!! I now have about 100 XLR to XLR cables, millions of various TRS cables and some pretty cool monitor speakers... (100 buck rolands) ALL THIS FOR FREE?!!?!?! and he says he normally has stuff they throw out every month! I could make a killing selling some of the stuff I dont need on E-bay! SO there's a suggestion to all you people in need of cables! GO TO LOCAL RADIO STATIONS or TV BROADCAST STATIONS!!!! MAKE PHONE CALLS!!! you can never have too manY!

By any chance did you manage to acquire TT Bantam cables?

I can never have enough of them... I have 20 such 144TT patch bays always eating cables like they're free :-D
