Sorry, just one more question before I let this fade off into the realm of obscurity. One for the mastering folk on this board, really: Do you generally consider recordings like this one (well, once the vocals are added obviously) to be decent enough to send off to the mastering house, or does this just need an assload of work? I'd hate to send this off to Mr. Scrip and get a reply like, "yeah, we should be able to get your CD back to you within a couple of years once we retrack all the parts, rewrite the song, and replace the lead guitar player."

The song I have in mind is along the lines of "Chasing Blue Sky" if your familiar with that song. I will get a scratch track done and PM you guys. I am not going to post it here.

Not one of the mastering guys, but I think it's good enough. The only thing I would change is using a real drummer before I took them in to get mastered. Why not post this song in the mastering clinic? That's where they hang out.
