The chords are played in a different position, but damn...it's pretty friggin' close, isn't it? Wow, I hope you didn't think that I was accusing you of ripping off Queensryche. No intention of doing that. Just that one part kinda sounded like Eyes and Geoff Tate was mentioned. So when I heard that part I just put the two together. ;)
 
Yeah, go for it Eddie...have some fun! This is one of the only ones where the lyrics aren't finished yet, but I've got some ideas for the vocal lines already.

How about this for some possible lyrics:

And I raise my head and stare
into the eyes of some fucker that I'm not quite acquainted with I've always known that the mirror's full of shit.....

See? Nothing to do with Queensryche! Yeah, that's it...

Yeah, nevermind what Axl Rose sounds like now.

I heard Sabastian Bach is singing off-broadway now and got really fat. Not that I ever thought he was as good as Geoff Tate, but I liked the first Skid Row album. I still have it somewhere. Crazy Jersey boys...

He was playing in a 'garage band' on Gilmore Girls for a while! That was funny! And I saw a show on him and his wife and yeah, he's got a gut started... just like me... sad... ;)

Oh no, don't worry, I didn't take it that way at all. In some ways, it's kinda flattering, but like I said...I need to make sure I'm watching myself. There have been way too many times I ended up "writing" somebody else's song, only to realize it years later....

lol, I'm not gonna start anything against a fellow 7 player!! There are too few of us around who actually realize that those high strings on a 7 sound pretty good too!

I saw a piece about him doing the Broadway thing. I can't remember which show he is in, and they never did show him singing, but his hair was cut much shorter and in a pony tail (not a good look for a heavy guy), and he had more than a gut. His face was even fatter, more rounded out.

I had a gut too, but they put me on a 2000 calerie diet because of diabetes, so I've slimmed down quite a bit.

As soon as I finish recording the Purge (the actual band) album, I'll be more freed up. And as soon as I find a job. And etc.etc.etc... Hopefully soon, because I'd really be into that idea.

Cool. I have a few ideas kicking around. Since I can't comp that guitar style, I'll probably just work on the lyrics and basslines. I wonder if Norman (MadAudio) would want to play drums for this?
I'll find out when he is done working on my last song for Momma's CD...

I'm there. No Geoff Tate stuff, though. I don't have the range for that. I used to do Silent Lucidity alot. Yup, cheesy ballad guy here. :o
