What are your finances like? I bought an AKG-414 last year...excellent mic with switchable patterns. I've used it mostly on vocals. I wish I could afford a second...gonna hafta wait till my birthday I guess since the wife didn't pick up the hints for Christmas

Like I said don't really know the price range but I figured I would put it out there for someone. Mine isn't in mint condition but it sounds great, but just doesn't get much use since I only get to use it on acoustic guitar most of the time.

AT 4050 is within your grasp of 400-450 used(check ebay) The c48 is 16-1700.

and in that price range, nothing will beat the 4050.good as an all arounder...sounds pristine on vocals, guitar cabs and acoustic guitars..

I think I must've been thinking of a different Sony condenser...I was thinking the c48 was in the $600-$900 range. If they're going for $1200-$1700, why don't you unload it and pick up a second 414 like you said you'd like?

That's a very good price. I wish I could have got that deal when I bought mine!

Actualy the reason I'm selling it for 200 is I saw the same seller you quoted letting these go for around 200 each a while back (prier to this they were going for 250 plus used), otherwise I would ask for 250 -300 (wich more acurately reflects the value of the mic)
