Here is a piece of a song I have been working on for quite some time. It has gotten nowhere, so I thought I'd put part of it up so you guys could play to something really offbeat. Weird, quirky, yet maybe fun....???

It worked!! DOG, I love this. In fact I played a song I had just wrote on the keys a few days ago, and it went perfect!!!!! I have been wanting to hear what it would sound like with a geetar(better than my playin'). This is weird and cool all at the same time!!! Man I wish I could post it.
I told you the sounds I hear in my head, sound an awful lot like the ones you play!

I haven't even listend to it in a bit, but did last night. The original version is just the guitar, and was put to a video I shot, about six and a half minutes long, so it kinda drags on as just an instrumental. I thought I'd get lyrics, drums and bass to it, but so far, nothing that I'm happy with. I'd like to finish it eventually, but still haven't finished the tune I'm working on with BasementBoy...

Cool. It does just go on, and I left it pretty sparse, just so someone could add anything to it. I just put drums to it last night, as it originally started as just the guitar. It's a small snippet, then looped. I figure the bass guys (hint....Larry) could put a bass line to it, then solo over that, if they want. A guitarist could either add a rythum guitar, or not, and a keyboardist has plenty of room to have fun. And, lets hear some more damn banjo!!!

Man I just spent ages trying to get something to compliment your song, but in the end i just had a kinda out of time non coherent part placed on your track. :sad:
I couldnt get anything simple and clean to compliment it, so i went the more arty way and reversed my guitar part and then added loads of reverb and then re-reversed it to get a cool backwards reverb, i then added loads of compression to get it too be less dynamic and then added crazy chorus and a little Sonic maximizer. It sounded well weird and prettty strange when i went into the full on heavy metal distortion.
But i deleted it because it was just an embaresment to musicians.
Will try again on another tune, but cant put anything worth while to this tune.

Yeah im thinking it only needs a nice bass guitar line, and vocals, maybe some keys if needed to thicken it up.
I would take it the "Coldplay" style way, if you's know who im talking about. Theyr a UK band that are pretty big in UK.
