Hello,

CE 2.0

I inadvertedly fogot to resample some wave files down from 48000 to 44100. They were converted to 16 bit.

Could someone explain how I was able to burn a CD at this sample rate? Also the CD went to a musician friend to add parts to. How does the 48000 sample rate play out when he tries to extract and use the waves?

Thanks,
Rusty K

Some burning programs do the necessary conversions themselves automatically. Maybe that was it. Or maybe it's working on a data basis, but wouldn't play on a normal CD player.

Ozpeter,

Are you from the Adobe Audition Forum? If so welcome to homerecording.com

I use Nero. Of course I'm going to resample the files and remaster but it threw me a bit. I listened to the CD I burned on a consumer type player and it was ok otherwise I wouldn't have sent the copy to my friend.

So in other words....if it was burned to the CD then it has to be 16bit 44100 which means Nero converted it?

Thanks,
Rusty K
