got some weird static noise coming out of a condensor mic, is this when the mic isn't grounded properly? I've tampered with the xlr connector and think I may have damaged it, unfortunatley it's my new neumann tlm193, which before looking inside, worked perfectly, it's pretty expensive mistake, all I did was take the screw out that holds in the xlr part to the mic body, but was supposed to put it back and accidently plugged it in and the xlr connector moved inside the body, then low and behold it aint workin' can't believe how easy it is to mess things up lol
