Weird Sonar problems..

Hey guys, my Sonar is currently occuring a heavy dropout for everytime I press record, every 5 seconds or so it drops.

So I restart and tried again, this time it didn't dropout, but the sound I recorded makes this jerky sound. I tried for a few good times and nothing helps.
 
Defrag, turn off all other unneccesary apps, update drivers if needed, adjust buffers and latency, and call me in the morning.
 
Thanks for the help mike morgan. But it seems to be the output of the sound.

When i use my soundcard to mix its okay, but when I use the Mixer, it gives jerkey sound.

The recording is okay.. Probably the output setting on sonar ?

What kind of computer do you use, and how much ram is installed? This might be one issue, but it almost sounds more like an issue with latency. If you don't have a large enough buffer those things tend to happen with the dropouts, etc.
 
I have 2gb of ram installed. 40GB hard drive. The dropout problem I've solved it, only left the jerky output sound.

EDIT : Thanks for the help guys, I just use my other soundcard to monitor and mix. Tough i felt irritated, haha. Thanks again!
