weird noise

About 45 seconds into playing a song theres a loud screech, Im not sure what is causing this. I tried to disable onboard sound (bios, device manager,unistall) Any Ideas??

I checked the song on a mp3 player and its fine, When I was recording there was static in playback but again it didnt show up in the song, Just made it real hard to mixdown.

does this only happen on one particular song? have you tried others? any other strange artifacts like drop outs, clicks, pops? tried increasing your mobilepre latency?

no its pretty much anything I play, I was mixing a song and it kept happening so I played the mixdown on a mp3 player and it ws fine, so I know its not the song. And I notice it happen the last time I made a song.

Yeah there was some clicking oriniginaly then when I mixed it it was a loud screech.

Usualy I use my onboard for games, movies, and my pre for recording.
So I thought it was a conflict, im going to try the latency..

if increasing the latency doesn't help, disabling the onboard might very well do it. it could be a conflict with another device though. one thing at a time though.

First thing I did was disable it.

I think the latency fixed it so far almost 10 mins of listening and no noise.
Thing is I didnt change it why all the sudden is it a problem?

Now I have to go fix that mixdown....

you should probably run some test projects to figure out which latency settings are good for tracking and which are good for mixing. as far as it suddenly changing, i don't know. have you changed something in your system recently?
