Thanks for the compliments. This amp has been a fun project. I've wanted to build one like this for some time. I came up with the design after looking at photos of different amps from the period.
The cabinet is birch plywood. I formed the three inch radius on the front with bendable plywood. (That stuff's amazing) The grill cutouts were made with a plunge router, and template. I then covered the front/top with birch veneer. The materials I used were all scrap.
The finish isn't done. What you see on there is a sand/seal coat. These are pictures I took last night after I fit it all together for the first time.
The amp is a late fifties Realistic hi-fi monoblock that I rebuilt, and modded for guitar. It's a neat little amp. EL84's P/P. I know I'll have fun experimenting with it. The speaker is a Magnavox ALNICO from an organ of the same period.

How did you joint it?.. finger-joints , screwed, glued?..
really like the grain visible in the front.. ye gonna paint it over?
finish it, and throw us an A/B test and CLIPS!!!!!!!!
...the dude building me a 2x10 and a 1x18 bass cabs for my abm500 head has had me waiting forever.. shoulda just ordered the fuckers..

Jouni; Nailed, and glued. I considered putting some screws in it, but didn't see the need. For glue I used plywood subfloor adhesive. It's super strong, and remains flexible. I was worried about the joints cracking at the bender board. The plywood glue seemed like a good solution.
I stuck the tubes in it and played around with it a little tonight. With a little work this thing could kick ass. I had it dimed going through a 6db L-pad which is about 3.5w to the speaker. It sounded pretty cool. I can't wait to hear it cranked without the attenuator.
Here's a picture with the hood off. You can see what a tight fit it is. I wanted to keep it as small as possible. I was worried about proximity issues with the output transformer being so close to the speaker magnet, but it doesn't seem to be a problem. The cabinet measures 15w x 16h x 10d.

It's uncanny to see this as I was designing an enclosure VERY simalar (bent top) for an old amp I just resurected. I ended up mounting it all in a 2U rack mounted aluminum kit box.
