How do you guys suggest setting up a legit website.

www._____.com
as opposed to www.randomwebsitecreator.com/_____.12._____

And also any tips on good ways to circulate a CD/ or some type of physical music form. Not a full commercial album, just a few song demo, kind of like the old no life til leather circulation type days from before my time.
I've not yet taken out the time to consider other ways of getting my music out and heard that doesnt involve the internet (at this time playing shows isnt an option because i still need to find a drummer and rehearse the songs... oh and learn to play guitar and sing (can anyone help me with that too :D)... and write enough material to justify playing a show and all that comes along with it :p)

I realize Im asking for a lot of help here.

Thanks for reading.

There are a variety of online services out there that will build you a .com band site.

I work for one called Bombplates.

I think CD baby also has one called hostbaby? There's one called Sayvee. etc.
Just google band websites, and you'll get a bunch of results.

I recommend Bombplates though, what with the conflict of interest and all. :D

To circulate your demo: make a bunch of copies, carry them around with you, and give them to whoever you think might want them.
I personally carry around a stack of stickers with my band's URL on them at all times.

I also recommend finding some way to gig. Granted, you won't be able to get real shows, but you can go to open mics. That's also a good way to find musicians to form your band.
