It took awhile to build the site and the studio. I opened the doors a few months ago and have been recording mostly jazz.

I never knew how much went into building a room. My next project is to build a drum booth, right now everyone is playing in an open room.

Just wondering how some of you who don't have a drum booth are isolating drums?

Looks like a pretty nice place from what I could see.

You could try those drum iso panels I've seen around. Not the plexiglass ones...I've seen some that are made of panels with rockwool or something in them. Wish I could help more but that's the first thought came to mind.

Instead of worrying about drum bleed, what if you put up panels around the mics on the guitar cabs?

I remember seeing these U-shaped panels for vocals but maybe them or a DIY of something like them, would work.

Or maybe those guitar iso boxes I've seen. You put the whole amp and mic inside. Not sure how that'd work if you had a bunch of different sized amps to work with.

Not sure what else to try. Some of those drum iso panels are pretty damned expensive. And I have no idea how well they work. Saw a bunch by Clearsonic.
