Weather - Alternative Rock - mix feedback, please

Overall it's real good. Vocals are particularly excellent. They're getting covered by the guitars just a little bit. I think you could just turn the guits down a db or so and fix it.

My only complaint is in the low end. The bass has that "boingy superball" sound. Too big of a low end boost. That, and the kick, make for a tubby low end. You could also probably roll off a little low end off of the guitars.

I think that would make this a heck of a mix.
 
Overall message in this track seems to be to improve the low end. Good...that's the part I struggled with most. Of course, no monitors doesn't help. I'll give the next mix more time on other systems.

It's good to hear positive vocal comments. I didn't mention it here, but I moved the Mic setup down to the basement to do vocals. It's very dense as it's fully finished with a ton of furnitre. I hung blankets behind me against the wall and gave a few more inches than normal. Maybe 8 on quiet parts and 16 on louder parts.
