It's always been UP shit creek down this way (east coast of downunderland).
Properly referred to as working upstream on the George's River without a means of locomotion.
Good song though. The vocal slips pitch occasionally but endearingly so sounds sort of like Mick Jones of standing beside John Mellor fame.
Nice work - post more.
Classic Madmush. Good guitar and vocal sounds and mucho energy. Bass gtr level seems a little inconsistent, boomy at times... maybe needs some compression or gain riding automation. I'd lower the vocal a dB so it sits deeper in the mix.
Oh golly. ONE LINE and I blow it I had no idea about George's River, very kewl curiosa! I actually sing "down" on purpose, cuz i though there might be a weird sexual connotation to it otherwise. Although when thinking of it, dunno how "down" is going to change that..... Glad you like the tune....we've got two as yet free albums out on our site, help yourself to the lot if you wish there'll be more soon....

Maybe i'll take'm down a notch, I used to mix the vocals too quietly and people always asked me to bring them up, I guess it's a delicate balance, thanks for your feedback!
Catchy and upbeat vibe....I agree that the vocals could go down just a little, and then the guitars should seem louder, and have a little more impact. Music is very catchy. I think a few small tweaks, and it will sounds really nice. I love the slightly hoarse sound of the vocals....just enough grit in the voice for this song.
MUSH,
having read the lyric now I see that DOWN works well as a double netendre as well as having a long way to row up stream. makes sense now for my tiny mind.
I'll download this evening thanks for the offer.
