Waves Platinum Upgrade Q's

I have NPP4.0 at the moment and I love it! I was wondering if I buy just the Platinum upgrade, will it work? Or do I have to buy the whole package? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Seems like an obvious question, but have you contacted Waves? They're certainly in the best position to say what upgrades work with what.
