Waves Effects

well, I have waves, and all of the effects are all wierdly named. If any of you know what the effects mean, can you please describe them a bit or give me the normal name for them?
 
like..

ultramaximizer? what the heck is that? Doppler? Wierd names. what do they mean?
 
They come with good helpfiles that will explain it all, do yourself a favour and take the time to read em.
 
better yet, you can go to their website and download
the manuals..which are extremely informative..which
was actually a real selling point when it came to my
decision to buy the software.
